Lind On Barnett and IR
Bill Lind was immensely entertaining, choice quotes when someone asked him about Thomas Barnett’s core/gap paradigm:
- “Total horseshit”
- “4GW for Children… complete with a fairy godmother leviathan”
- “Only the Pentagon could love it”
- “Ahistorical”
- “Acultural”
- “Not serious”
- “Should be read in a comic framework”
Lind on international relations:

A corollary to Gunnar’s Ghandism is Schoepenhouer’s three stages of truth: First it is ridiculed, then violently opposed, and finally accepted as self-evident.
So perhaps Barnett’s recent pain is actually psychically caused?
I never really believed that as a fellow son of Wisconsin, that milk was the cause. That just seemed wrong.
