Nationalism vs. Primary Loyalties

Is there a meaningful differentiation to be made between “nationalism” and the concept of primary loyalties?

It seems that the value gained from the in-depth study of nationalism is negligible. We simply zoomed in way too much on a nationalist moment and confuse it for something larger.
(Perhaps the zoom-in is a result of the explosion of information in our social environment. Kind of like my thinking on the myth of the unipolar moment.)

Review: Michael Clayton

Got a chance to see this flick after a busy week. Very well written, Wilkinson and Clooney are in good form, and the cinematography was excellent.
