Exploding the Medical Hierarchy

I’m a fan of this effort. College aside, medical school in particular should be exploded into a series of certifications that can be achieved by individuals with varying interests and abilities. If someone wants to take care of their family, they should have access to the training necessary – beyond the CPR level.

Ridding society of the monopoly doctors have can be among the best things you can do for a people in uncertain times.

Return of the Community Bard?

Think of your investors (fans) as micro-investors. Convince them with a pitch (first album) and then ask them to support your future ventures (albums or  more likely individual songs). Those above a certain dollar amount can share the returns, while the rest can enjoy your product at a level affordable to them.

Ari Hest has already pioneered this with his 52 idea.

Make sure to read Daemon. It’s a fun, thought provoking read with an excellent idea pack (black globalization, botnets, etc etc).
