Drill Down Structures

If there’s a way to do build these spiral subterrainian structures on a larger scale for cheap, it could be both a lot of fun and useful in regards to security. Rather than a function of excess wealth, a function of survival…

Or, if tacked onto current homes, could be a useful way to store illicit goods.

TIMN + Generational Model

(I’ve been reading about the TIMN model since finding Ronfeldt’s blog a while ago.)

Its an excellent framework that allows the user to bolt on other generational models – the 4GW world, as well as energy sources, even trace the immigrant story – incredibly robust approach to history. If you haven’t incorporated it into your own thinking and writing, you’re missing out on brilliance.

Illicit Trade Platform

Craigslist is already a top performing P2P trading platform for any and all goods and services (from sports tickets to amateur pornography).

Which way is this (largely) legitimate platform going to lean as the going gets increasingly tough (D2)? Will it remain as is (or will it even be allowed to remain as is) or will it broaden to encompass the already prevalent illicit market in a more real and meaningful way?
