Mobile Data Center

Star- This one flew under my radar –

Dubbed Project Blackbox, the modular data centre combines computer servers and storage and network infrastructure, along with high-efficiency power and cooling. The prototype was designed to fit within the dimensions of a standard 6.1-metre shipping container, making the entire system easy to transport and set up.

Sun says a Blackbox can be deployed in one-tenth the time it takes to design, build and deploy a traditional data centre. It takes up one-third less space, and is 20 per cent more energy-efficient than a conventional set-up with equal computer power.

Snazzy.
