The Sunlight Foundation says today they’ve commissioned the Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit OMB Watch to do the exact same thing. The cost? $234,713 for three years.
That is 1.6% of the government estimated cost.
Maps and Data
Very cool collection of maps. The narratives look especially interesting. This government expenditure map is functionally useless but snazzy nonetheless. More importantly they have a lot of data available to the public.
Air Marshals
ABC – After four years the feedback loop makes its impact –
Undercover federal air marshals will no longer be held to a strict dress code that many thought compromised their in-flight anonymity.
Tax Database
This kind of thing just gets tiresome to see. And the incredibly long feedback loop offers no foreseeable repercussions for this type of behavior – at earliest that would be election time – and even then elections are not dictated by actual issues such as these.
