This is a great little piece of tech out of China – as a piracy platform, it literally takes the rug out from under the Nintendo DS ecosystem.
ROMs never took off because they had to be played on the computer. This chip allows the user to override proprietary specialized hardware with what is on the open market. The long-term effects should make an interesting case study.
