Offshore Drilling Impact?

Has anyone pushing for offshore drilling cited a price impact study? I’m just seeing a lot of rhetoric on both sides — dumb, because it’s an economic decision.

Update: Forgot to link the effects.

Obama’s “National Security Working Group”

Very unimpressed. For someone going on and on about being a Washington outsider he’s brought in the entire Democratic Party old (literally) guard. Guaranteed that not one of these people blog.

The Fall of Curveball

The story of the penultimate pawn who happened to be a compulsive liar. Would make a great comedy film.

(It’s a little over the top in that the writer looks down on him for lying while a refugee in Germany, while in the Iraqi military, and in Iraq period.)

The Swing Capacity

Increase 200,000 bpd = House of Saud is worried about swing capacity – it’s just under 2 billion bpd now. The 300,000 bpd increase in May/June was ignored. They just wasted another 200,000 bpd.

They can’t afford to keep sapping away at their ability to compensate for disruptions.  Oil prices won’t go down, because of the excess capacity wall.
