Nagl On New Think Tanks = Old Hat

John Nagl is, way, way off on his ‘new’ approach to think tanks. He’s calling for a Manhattan project type think tank to approach Islamic terrorism. Problem is, that won’t get at the structural problem, won’t generate new frameworks, and will largely be a highly concentrated version of what we already have.

I really like Democracy Journal, but they would have been much better off asking Michael Tanji to write about this. He gets it.

Interesting interview in Foreign Policy. VP’s one of the smarter conventional generals we’ve had.

Heritage is Hilarious

Heritage’s James Sherk fulfills his hack duty:

Congress should not tax all Americans to bailout the Detroit automakers in order to preserve high earnings for a few.

Laughable when they were very pro-Wall Street’s bailout. Apparently there’s no logic over there.

Radio Show

Was on last night with Larry Johnson, Bill Roggio, Craig Unger and John Batchelor. Roundtables are tougher (can’t build up much momentum) but I’m working on it. We discussed Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan in some depth. Starts right at the 20:00 mark.
