Fight Back PAC

Interesting use of a political action committee as an offensive weapon. Could be a useful model for someone wanting to target the financial industry (which includes a variety of elected officials).

This deep pocketed gay rights group is targeting the major players behind the 38 senators who voted against gay rights in New York.  Notes:

  • Rhetoric. This is clearly a team on the offense. Think Rahm Emanuel. (Use of military terminology – targeting, criminal, incompetent.) There’s even a kind of hit list on the Who? page.
  • Going after an easy, primed target. These guys are going to absolutely annihilate Monserrate (the clown who violently assaulted his girlfriend and was expelled from the NY Senate as a result). This will elicit widespread goodwill, significant momentum, and funding. Then its just a question of positioning.

This could have huge potential for taking down the banksters. Unfortunately, these kinds of efforts – centering on hearts and minds involve lots of heavy funding in the form of a Patron. Bad news is they are all potential targets.
