As An Aside
The trip is going well, not getting as much work done as I planned, but its great to decompress for a few days. Thinking about warfare can get burdensome.
- The y and the z on kezboards are often switched. I stopped caring after a few tries.
- If you want to sneak something into or out of Croatia, take the tour bus. Zero baggage checks.
- No government knew where I was for approximately two days (passport check was manual without even a cursory computer check headed into Bosnia). Had an insane urge to continue running.
- Dubrovnik is like Disney Land, complete with teenagers dressed up as medieval characters.
- Mostar is like an elven layered city.
- WiFi is actually verz hard to find. The netbook is holding up well (great for quick notes and analysis) but the infrastructure just is not in place.
- Global Guerrillas is banned from at least one ISP in Bosnia.
- Increasinglz want to buy a boat, stop for supplies every so often, and have satellite internet on a Macbook.
Headed to Split by ferry tomorrow, then Vienna for three days and back at it with renewed gusto. Amazing what a sea breeze can do for your spirit.
