  • What’s the reasoning behind the choices? I can’t understand it at all unless its just supposed to represent random rifles. What is it representing (because it certainly isn’t the evolution of war rifles)?

  • Hmm. Not really sure. I haven’t had an interest or played with firearms in about 4 years. That said, the trends I can pull from this infographic follow. Not much to be done with a basic tool, but I’ll give it a shot (in sequence of the weapons included):

    Accuracy boost.
    Mass production (decreasing costs).
    Speed boost.
    Accuracy + Speed boost.
    Accuracy + Ruggedness x 2.
    Accuracy + Ruggedness x 3.
    Speed boost.
    Speed boost x 2.
Speed hits upper limit with the M14.
    Accuracy boost.
    Accuracy boost x2.

The SCAR is dealing with the limitations of human-held weaponry lots of add-ons to augment human capabilities.

Also, there’s a capacity increase trendline that is a function of speed.

Please, Please, do your research and proof read something, like this before you publish it.

If you don’t know what mistakes you made after re-reading it, you should never have made it in the first place.

The first smoothbore flintlock muskets appeared in the early 1600s. The Land Pattern aka Brown Bess was first issued in 1722. C’mon man. Research.

Why is there a sporterized hunting rifle in place of the Springfield M1903A3?

Damn near everything about this is wrong. One should not speak upon that which one does not know.

I don’t understand. You decided it was important enough to create this picture, writing out all these “facts” for it and everything, but it shouldn’t be taken seriously?

Seriously though, the utter lack of research and effort put into this endeavour is appalling.

Dude, if you’re going to publish something touted as fact, you should make the minimal effort to make sure that it’s actually factual. It would take half an hour on wikipedia, probably less, to fix this.

Also the G41 was basically a design stolen from the Russian SVT-40 and made shittier.

And really you want the Mauser G98, not the M1903. The 1903 is based on the Mauser action, which is essentially the father of all modern bolt action rifles.

This is insane. You make an incredibly incorrect series of facts, give the wrong pictures for guns and have stupid choices. After people call you out on this, you claim troll.
